Our grants are available for all young people aged 18 and above who fit the criteria.
Up to £500 for the duration of your studies. However, please note that the amount allocated to each student will fluctuate from year to year depending on the amount of applicants.
We consider all applicants on a case by case basis so if you think that Cookham Welfare Trust can help you with resources to support your studies, please get in touch.
Cookham Welfare Trust was initially set up to help apprentices. We can currently support students who are doing all types of apprenticeship with the exception of those doing a Degree Apprenticeship.
We consider all students aged 18-25 who meet the criteria.
If your application is successful, you will only be able to receive the grant once. If your application is not successful you could reapply the following year providing you meet the set criteria.
No! Providing you have lived in Cookham for at least 6 years and meet the application criteria, your personal finances are not taken into consideration.
The Trust was set up to help provide additional resources for training/education. The money is NOT for transportation costs, living costs or tuition fees and should be used for items such as textbooks, IT, equipment, uniform or tools. Please consider thing when completing your application.
No! The grant is yours to spend on resources to support your education and will not be required to be repaid.
In exceptional circumstances we can consider applicants who fall out of our set criteria. Please feel free to submit an application and we'd be happy to discuss this further with you.
